The Morris Performing Arts Center is pleased to present the outdoor lunch-time concert series, Fridays by the Fountain on the Jon R. Hunt Plaza (in front of the Morris Theater) each summer between the months of June and August. The concert series traditionally runs every Friday and features live entertainment from local Blues, Jazz, Rock, Folk, and Country bands. The concerts are free and open to the public and run from 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM.
Food vendors are available and they offer a variety of lunchtime favorites including pizza, sandwiches, salads and pasta, or you may choose to 'brown bag' it. Tables are set in and around the plaza to give the concertgoers a space to eat and rest and enjoy the festivities or you may opt to bring a blanket and relax on the lawn.
High Life will delight concert-goers with pop songs from the '60's. High Life also plays "Dark Star" by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Nick Lowe's "Cruel to Be Kind" and the Slash's "Train in Vain" from the '70's. Have a favorite song from the 1980's or 1990's? No need to worry, this band can perform it all. The band has a penchant for popular but rarely covered songs. Visit them on their Facebook page here: High Life
